If ever there were two things made for each other, it would have to be New Age piano music and nature sounds. After all, New Age piano gets much of its inspiration from the natural world. There are many CDs available that have this classic combination. Let’s look at a few of them.

1. Forest Piano by John Herberman
This CD is in my opinion the best New Age piano CD one can buy. And it has nature sounds too! John Herberman is a very talented pianist/composer who’s music seeps into your stressed out psyche and gently massages you. Each piece is a unique composition. Sometimes melodic, sometimes textural, but always beautiful. You’ll wear your CD player out with this

Boogie music, also known as boogie woogie, is a genre of piano-heavy music particular to America in the 1930’s and 1940’s and 1950’s. It’s characteristic walking bass is familiar to many as a harkening back to rock and roll, even though the form is based strongly on the blues (in fact, it’s often been called an upbeat version of the blues).

Boogie originally started as a strictly piano form; the most familiar versions are still based solely around the instrument. The precise origin of boogie-woogie piano however is uncertain; it was no doubt influenced by early rough music played in the roadhouses and honky tonks in New Orleans and Kansas City and other cities and towns in the south.

What best way to celebrate this festival of lights than with fun games for your children? Here are a couple of entertaining Chanukah party games to make your Chanukah party a wonderful occasion.

Musical Chanukah Party Game This is a musical party game in which one person is selected and sent out of the room. The rest of the players then agree upon a simple task for the person to do. This could be anything moving a chair, touching a thing, or finding some hidden object. After the task is decided by all the remaining players, the main player is told to enter the room. This Chanukah party game is accompanied by music played on the piano. The

music starts as soon as the person enters the room. The player tries to seek out the object that has to be found. The music is the hint for this Chanukah party game. When it is soft, it means the player is very close to the object, when it gets louder, the player is going away from it. The music stops when the object has been found.
